More on Learning
Before I begin let's get one thing cleared up. There are no
visual people, auditory people or kinesthetic people. We use all
of our representational systems. It's just a matter of what
system you are using to communicate with at any given point and
time.
When I sent to you my first post, I was offering you a
suggestion inside of what I had written. If your desire is to
have a powerful experience through experimentation, I can agree.
Yet what you speak from is very old technology, a model that
stems from the early days in NLP. Most of what I read on the net
also mirrors the old technology.
What I am doing in my training now is very different than what
is available in any written form. The size of the chunk I am
using to teach from, after tuning everybody up so that they can
process this information at the rate and size I am presenting,
can not yet be represented in a reasonable amount of text, if it
can be represented in text at all.
It's not to say that we can't write about it, but whether or
not these present technologies can be taught without all of the
supporting non-verbals, I do not know. I create such a tightly
formed group inside of my training's that by the time we are past
the first three hours, the individuals participating in that
training are effectively communicating with each other with very
few words. That is to say we are now past *mind reading* and are
instead communicating with the entire human being, with most of
this being non-verbal. The accuracy rate would truly boggle your
mind. And this is testable!
When you say you want to play with your own experience, I
would first recommend that you set up some sort of safety line. I
used to spend a great deal of my time working with pathological
psychotics. Each one, of course, was crazy in their own
systematic observable way. The reason I was so effective with
them was that I could step into their psychosis. Too many times
though I found myself getting stuck in one of those models.
It took me a while to realize what it was I was doing, and
when I did I built a powerful anchor so that I could easily get
out. For me it was a sexual state that I had once experienced. I
took this past image and brought into the present. Then I turned
it up almost to threshold while attaching it to a sliding anchor
on my left arm. Then in the future when I did enter into another
completely different reality I could easily get out through this
anchor. After a few experiences with this process it streamlined
itself and getting out became automatic.
Now I want you to take into consideration what I am going to
say next. Just say I wanted to have a powerful experience that
had the following characteristics.
- 1. It was much different than any of the ways that I
normally experienced the world.
- 2. Not only was it different but I could bring out of
this experience something that would enhance the quality
of my life in a useful way.
- 3. That I could bring into this new experience a feeling
of safety in the fact that what I was doing was based on
a congruent decision to explore new territory.
After fully considering the above, with clarity and the
congruent understanding that I was going to improve every single
area of my life through this experience, I might then follow a
process similar to the one below.
First I would bring up the representation I have that I need
air to stay alive, that I need blood in my veins, that the sun is
going to come up tomorrow. And as I did so I would also begin to
amplify my internal experience of these representations by making
the externally projected images bigger and bigger and bigger
still yet. While all along bringing the voices and sounds that
are a part of this experience closer as I turned them up!
Now I would allow the notion that I could suspend all of my
beliefs for a while fly into this experience from every possible
direction and as I did I would go even deeper into what it was I
did not know, therefore allowing new experiences and ideas to
flow in from the back of my mind.
After about fifteen minutes of this I would then fire my
safety anchor and bring myself out only as quickly as I would
integrate into my previous realities some of the learnings and
understanding that were a part of and a part from this experience
I was now coming out of.
If you set this up congruently it will definitely fit your
criteria for a powerful experience. But it will wind up being
more than just a powerful experience. It will be a tool, so that
when you come up against any learning you could simply drop back
down into this new reality and while there. . . think of all of
the things you haven't thought of yet. . . that you could use to
move past what it was that was in the way.
You could do this yourself or you could get a friend to help
you. Remember congruency is the key. The verbal and the
non-verbal need to match up, not just in the moment, but through
time as well.
Have fun, learn, enjoy and most of all GO FOR LIFE!!!!
Remember those who wait, wait! Those who make an impact on life
are those who can step out of what they think they know. The
movers, the inventors, the people who continue to discover what's
not there. Because they are looking in a different direction than
those who keep looking in the same place for what wasn't there
yesterday. And guess what? They get exactly what they are looking
for!!! You my friend are looking in new directions and you will
find new things. What those things are I can't say, but then
again neither could Einstein, he had to find out for himself.
It happens, I do get a bit carried away by my passion, but
life is, I am, you are, let's do something worth doing. You pick
yours, and as you can see I have chosen mine!
Until later
