There is Another Way

Good day,

This is how I see it. What came up for me when I read your request. And......... ........I really hope you can take to time to really get what I am about to offer you here, as it will make a certain difference in how you navigate your future.

In many circles I am teased with the notion of being an idiot savant. And what is implied by that is an unconscious set of abilities, skills, knowledge, and other forms of what people consider genius. Now, what that also implies is that I have very little conscious awareness of how much I know, and can do. Yet in context, no matter what I need to come up with, it is there. And even though I can be credited with having done the thing, the "I" in that is not taken by me in the normal sense. Sure, I can do it, yet I couldn't tell you exactly how I did it. And for me, that is the beginning of a world model that says-look, there exists a certain phenomenon, where we have yet to be able to understand consciously what we as a species can do unconsciously. The conscious mind will never know what the unconscious can do. So, and this is the interesting part. I challenge you to begin finding a way to gain rapport with yourself so that you can have a relationship with your own internal genius. And, you are not going to build such a relationship by forcing things. I have found that many of the most intelligent people I have ever met were not fully able to use many of the patterns of NLP consciously. What they did wind up with was more. Something I will call wisdom.

You see, if you have a system that allows for change where  you simply set a direction, and it just happens, and you don't have to be concerned with how it happens, then you are using more of what you have available unconsciously. And, if you do think about it, you have more available unconsciously than you can ever be aware of consciously. When you think about picking up a glass, and do. Or when you think about getting up and walking across a room, and do, you are using a system similar to what I am suggesting to you here. If you can think of what you want to learn, what your OUTCOME for a particular change might be, and all you have to do is make a decision, and like walking across the room, you unconsciously do the rest without having to pay any attention to which foot goes where, then you are operating very elegantly.

I know, you ask for one thing, and I offer another. But, learning and change are, in the end, a set of unconscious activities. If you build in what I am suggesting, then you will be able to go more places, do more things, because genius is about what we do that is unconscious, and the conscious mind can enjoy the process of gaining the choices you want for yourself, and the surprise and delight that there is more to you, to me, to all of us. That if we just take the time to realize the depths of what we are capable of as a species, as we move away from the highly valued, but often limiting conscious mind set, we will  discover  realities that have existed for some of the greatest minds who have ever graced this planet.  And by now,  with all that we have learned over the years, we can surely stand on the shoulders of those who first lit the way. The passing of the torch means more than just doing more of the same. It means that we are willing to respect the diligence of sacrifice that paved our way. That we too continue on with the advancement of OUR species in all areas, and in all domain of skills. For me, teaching NLP is not so much about who can do what to whom, or what we can do TO ourselves. But more! So much more!!! It's about who can help whom do what. And how can we hold our heads up high as we too pass that torch on to our children? These are thoughts that beg questions. Yet, in all frankness, we are not going to gain much wisdom from the quick, conscious answer where the focus is ONLY in what do I want RIGHT NOW. We can definitely enjoy the journey, but we do not have to do it at the expense of anyone. We can do it together.

Don't concern yourself with what picture to change, what pattern to run, just think... what is the outcome, and how will my unconscious get me there? In this relationship you wind up with the distinction of genius, yet you don't have to try and figure things out. Learning NLP is not about what to do when and where using a set of selective patterns. It is instead, about playing with patterns only to the point of discovering new ways to begin installing this stuff so that it functions more automatically. I NEVER have to think of what, or how, it all comes automatically, always. And this is what I teach that is unique in my trainings. Not this step follows that step where you have to think about not tripping over your own feet. But instead, to teach, to learn, so that NLP, the skills and abilities, all become just like picking up that glass, just like walking across that room. You just think it, and it's done! And inside of that, since you do not have to concern yourself consciously, you can use that attention to pay attention to the people you are with, the world around you, and, as a mirror, yourself. If you are too busy thinking about what you have to do, step by step, you are not thinking about what you are moving toward, and noticing the flowers and trees along the way. Sure, it may be useful to try on different patterns now and again, but, and I stress this, only to the end of building more of an unconscious ability to use this stuff...And never when you need to be paying attention to the outside world.

Being in good rapport is paramount to being wholly effective in this world. And, if you are not in rapport with yourself, then where is the trust? If you can't yet respect the wisdom of the system you have set up for yourself, or if unconsciously you are not yet able to trust the judgment and choices you are making consciously, either change the system, make better choices, or surrender completely and give up, and begin again by first respecting the awesome power of what can exist for you unconsciously.

In my experience of people, it seems that if a battle is going on internally, the unconscious wins most every time. Learn how to build a more respectful relationship with yourself. Learn this stuff only to that end, and in the end, at least when you awaken, you will have the surprise of your life. The gift of genius. And you will be able to use this stuff like few others. But perhaps the focus, the reasons you may have wanted to learn this stuff in the first place may have changed for you completely. And that, well, to put it simply, may be the best thing that could ever happen for you, or not, because the choice is still yours, and always will be.

Stay well

Carmine
